2021 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. To enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Pakistan, China Post is scheduled to issue a set of 2 commemorative stamps titled The 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Pakistan on May 21, 2021 (jointly issued with Pakistan). The titles of the stamp designs are "Zhuhai Port" and "Gwadar Port" respectively, with a total face value of 2.40 yuan for the full set and a planned circulation of 7.1 million sets.

The jointly issued stamps feature Zhuhai Port of China and Gwadar Port of Pakistan. Zhuhai Port is one of the 24 major hub ports along China's coast and one of the 5 major ports in Guangdong Province. Adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, it has the highest-grade 150,000-ton main waterway in the Pearl River Delta and an integrated logistics system integrating "river, sea, land, railway and air" transportation. It is an important port node of the "Belt and Road Initiative". Gwadar Port is located on the southwest coast of Balochistan Province, Pakistan. It is a node of multiple important shipping routes from Africa and Europe to eastern Asia in the Pacific Ocean via the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, and an important part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

This set of stamps adopts a flat design style, with blue as the main tone, and presents the beautiful scenery of the two ports from an aerial perspective. The stamps use a special-shaped format, and the two stamps are connected to form a visual effect of undulating waves and fluttering flags. The ship pattern in the corner of the picture is combined with the stamp title, and together with the basic colors of the national flags of the two countries, the overall design is concise, smooth and dynamic.

This set of stamps was designed by Ma Lihang and printed by Liaoning Shenyang Post and Telecommunications Printing Co., Ltd. using the offset printing process.
