Museums, an important mark of mankind's civilization progress, present the historical culture and modern civilization of a country, people or region. China's first museum was established in 1905. Ever since the founding of new China, especially since the reform and opending up, with the thriving of various industies, construction of museums has gained unprecedented vitality. China has so far more than 2,000 museums of various kinds throught the country, which have formed a fairly complete system.
