China Post is scheduled to issue a set of 4 special stamps titled Chinese Aircraft (III) on April 17, 2021. The total face value of the full set of stamps is 4.80 yuan, with a planned circulation of 8 million sets for the stamps and 1.05 million sheets for Sheet Type 2. In addition, one stamp booklet will be issued, priced at 50 yuan, with a planned circulation of 100,000 copies.

On April 17, 1951, the People's Revolutionary Military Commission of the Central People's Government and the Government Administration Council promulgated the Decision on the Construction of the Aviation Industry, marking the birth of New China's aviation industry. The aviation industry is a national strategic high-tech industry and one of the important symbols of a country's technological, economic, and national defense strength as well as its industrialization level. Over the past 70 years, under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, New China's aviation industry has undertaken the historical mission of serving the country through aviation and building a powerful aviation nation. It has developed from scratch, grown from small to large, and evolved from weak to strong, achieving remarkable achievements that have attracted worldwide attention.

To showcase the latest achievements in the development of New China's aviation industry, China Post issues the Chinese Aircraft (III) special stamps. The stamps adopt an overall silver-gray tone. Based on the distinct characteristics of the 4 aircraft, targeted compositions are used to highlight their prominent features, and the realistic style is applied to present them—creating a strong sense of presence and visual impact, and reflecting the sense of technology and power of these "major national strategic assets".

The first stamp, "J-20 Stealth Fighter Jet", fully presents the high-speed flight posture of the fighter jet;

The second stamp, "Y-20 Large Military Transport Aircraft", emphasizes the massive size characteristics and cargo-carrying capacity of this "air giant";

The third stamp, "Z-20 Tactical Utility Helicopter", demonstrates the helicopter's strong comprehensive performance in plateau transportation, emergency rescue and disaster relief, and other fields;

The fourth stamp, "Large Amphibious Aircraft (AG600)", shows the amphibious feature of the aircraft (capable of operating on both water and land).

This set of stamps was designed by Yu Xue and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Co., Ltd. using the offset printing process.
