China Post is scheduled to issue a set of 6 special stamps themed "Animation - Prince Nezha's Triumph Against Dragon King" on August 28, 2021. The total face value of the full set of stamps is 6.40 yuan, with a planned circulation of 6.9 million sets.

The animated film Prince Nezha's Triumph Against Dragon King, produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio, is China's first wide-screen animated feature film. Adapted from classical literary works, it mainly tells the story of the enmity and grudges between Nezha, the son of Li Jing in Chentang Pass, and the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea. The film features magnificent images, exquisite production, vivid character portrayals, a well-paced narrative, and superb use of colors. The four characteristics of "marvelous, unique, magnificent, and beautiful" run through every part of its creation. The film has won many awards at major film festivals at home and abroad, and is still regarded as a classic to this day.

The "Animation - Prince Nezha's Triumph Against Dragon King" stamps depict 6 plot segments from the animation: Nezha's Birth, Childhood Fun, Capturing Ao Bing, Fighting the Dragon King, Nezha's Rebirth, and Stabilizing the Sea to Comfort the People. The images not only show Nezha's innocent and lovely personality, but also reflect his precious spirit of not fearing authority and striving for justice. Each of the 6 stamps uses a distinct color tone, with clear and coherent color features, presenting Nezha's images in different movements. The overall design draws on the montage technique used in the film, reorganizing and splicing images of different times, scenes, and shots. This presents a complete animated plot on the static stamps, and revives a segment of childhood memories in the hearts of many people.
