On June 1, China Post will issue a special stamp set titled "Animation – Havoc in Heaven." The set consists of six stamps and one booklet. The six stamps are: "Seizing the Dragon King's Treasure," with a face value of 80 fen; "Appointed Protector of the Heavenly Horses," with a face value of 80 fen; "Proclaiming Himself the Great Sage Equal to Heaven," with a face value of 1.20 yuan; "Creating Havoc in the Peach Garden," with a face value of 1.20 yuan; "Battle with the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals," with a face value of 1.20 yuan; and "Storming the Heavenly Palace," with a face value of 1.20 yuan.

Havoc in Heaven is a color animated feature film produced by the Shanghai Animation Film Studio between 1961 and 1964. As a classic of Chinese animation, it has influenced generations and stands as a landmark in the history of Chinese animation. Through its mythological narrative, the film reflects the sharp conflicts and struggles between the oppressors and the oppressed. By telling the story of Sun Wukong's rebellion in the Dragon Palace and his defiance of the Heavenly Court, the film prominently showcases Sun Wukong's courageous, resourceful, and optimistic spirit, as well as his fearless resistance against divine authority. At the same time, it exposes and satirizes the arrogance, tyranny, and incompetence of the Jade Emperor, the Dragon King, and the heavenly generals. The film is notable for its clear, profound theme and its bright, uplifting tone.
