Background info
The Yandang Mountain, one of the famous mountains in China, stands in the southeast of Zhejiang Province and boasts ridges, peaks, caves and waterfalls. Baigangjian, the main peak, is over 1,000 meters above sea level. It is said that there used to be a shallow lake on the top of the mountain, where wild geese stayed in autumns, hence the name (Yandang means "wild geese lake "). The mountain, with beautiful scenery, peculiar peaks, odd-shaped rocks and many waterfalls, has a reputation of the No.1 mountain in Southeast China. It has more than 380 scenic spots, among which the Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Falls of Dalongqiu are the most famous, known as "the three superb scenes of the Yandang Mountain".
