China Post scheduled the issuance of a set of special stamps titled "Sustainable Transport Development" on October 15, 2021. The set contains 4 stamps with a total face value of 4.80 yuan, and the planned circulation is 6.5 million sets.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's transport sector has achieved historic accomplishments and undergone historic transformations. It has entered a golden period of infrastructure development, service quality improvement, and transformation-driven growth, stepping into a new era of high-quality development.

The stamp set is presented in a hand-painted style, with each stamp focusing on a key aspect of sustainable transport:

The first stamp, "Comprehensive Transport", features crisscrossing high-speed railways, highways, airports, cruise ships, and other modern transport vehicles and facilities. It demonstrates an efficient, convenient, modern, and three-dimensional transport network.

The second stamp, "Transport for Poverty Alleviation", depicts the Dulong River Highway Tunnel in the Gaoligong Mountains, Dulongjiang Township, and vehicles transporting goods. It embodies the concept of using transport infrastructure construction to help poverty-stricken areas shake off poverty and promote economic development.

The third stamp, "Green Development", includes elements such as electric buses and charging stations, shared bikes, courier vehicles, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins (Chinese white variant). It reflects the concepts of intensive resource utilization, green development, and green travel.

The fourth stamp, "Open Cooperation", shows scenes like China-Europe Railway Express crossing the national border and freight ports. It represents the spirit of promoting development through open cooperation in the transport sector.

This stamp set was designed by Song Jian and printed by Beijing Stamp Factory Co., Ltd. using the photogravure process.
