Background
China Post will issue a set of one commemorative stamp entitled The 15th China International Garden Expo on April 15, 2026. The single stamp has a face value of 1.20 yuan, with a planned circulation of 4.2 million sets.As the highest-level, largest-scale, most representative and internationally influential event in China’s landscape and gardening industry, the China International Garden Expo has developed and evolved through 14 previous sessions. It not only witnesses the inheritance and innovation of Chinese garden art, but also serves as a vital window to showcase urban charm and development achievements. The 15th China International Garden Expo will be held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, from April to July 2026. With the theme of "Poetic Mountains and Seas, Sharing a Green Life", it focuses on five development orientations: people-oriented, international, pioneering, cultural and city-wide garden expo, featuring innovative event concepts and distinctive highlights.
Guided by the philosophy of harmonious coexistence, the commemorative stamp features botanical elements such as green trees, camellias and ou mandarins, alongside the core garden landscapes and official logo of this Garden Expo. Plants and venues stretch along flowing curved lines, presenting a poetic scene where humanity and nature coexist in harmony. It embodies the traditional Chinese yin-yang philosophy and the ecological aesthetics of integration and symbiosis, conveying the cultural connotation that this grand cultural event is rooted in the laws of nature.
Printed with high-precision offset technology, the stamp boasts clear details and bright colors. Adopting camellia-scented ink that echoes the core theme, it carries a delicate lingering floral fragrance. In terms of craftsmanship, three-dimensional embossing technology is applied, with varied embossing heights for different visual elements to strengthen the three-dimensional sense and vividness. The design delivers an immersive multi-sensory experience combining vision, touch and smell, and adds interactive fun for collectors.
This stamp set is designed by Wang Ziyuan and Xia Jingqiu, edited by Ji Yixuan, and printed via offset process by Beijing Stamp Printing Factory Co., Ltd.
