Background
China Post will issue a set of two commemorative stamps titled "75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Indonesia" (jointly issued with Indonesia) on August 30, 2025. The stamps are named "Hangzhou West Lake" and "Lake Bratan." The total face value of the set is 2.40 yuan, with a planned issuance quantity of 4.5 million sets.

The first stamp depicts Hangzhou West Lake. As a "culturally renowned lake" in Chinese history and a celebrated "paradise on earth," Hangzhou West Lake is famous worldwide for its stunning scenery, long history, profound cultural significance, and rich cultural heritage. It has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The second stamp features Lake Bratan. Located on Bali, Indonesia, Lake Bratan is one of the island's iconic landmarks and a major source of irrigation water. Formed in a volcanic crater, the lake is surrounded by elegant and refined architecture that blends various styles, boasting a long history. With its serene landscape, lush mountains, and cool weather, it is a popular destination among tourists.

While maintaining a unified blue-green color tone, the stamps employ different artistic styles to depict the scenes from representative perspectives, highlighting the distinct features and shared poetic charm of the two lakes.

The stamps are produced using high-resolution photogravure printing, which accurately reproduces the vibrant colors of the original designs and showcases their rich layers. Under ultraviolet light, the fluorescent printing technique reveals the landscapes under different lighting conditions, enhancing both the anti-counterfeiting features and the visual appeal of the stamps.

The stamp set was designed by Guo Zhenshan and the creative team of Indonesia Post, and edited by Li Kexin. They were printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Co., Ltd. using the photogravure process.
