China Post will issue a set of three special stamps on September 22, 2025, titled "Mogan Mountain". The stamps are named "Sword Pond Waterfall," "Villas Amidst Greenery," and "Sunrise over a Sea of Clouds". The full set has a face value of 3.20 yuan, with a planned circulation of 4.2 million sets for the standard stamps and 693,000 sheets for Format II.

Located in Deqing County, Huzhou City, in northern Zhejiang Province, Mogan Mountain lies at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta region. It derives its name from the legendary sword-making couple Gan Jiang and Mo Ye of the Spring and Autumn period. Renowned for its "bamboo, clouds, and springs" and celebrated for its "fresh air, tranquility, cool climate, and lush greenery", Mogan Mountain is a National Scenic Area and a National Tourist Resort. Often referred to as a "Museum of Modern Architecture", it is also one of China’s Four Great Summer Resorts.

The three stamps capture Mogan Mountain’s iconic landscapes:

The first stamp, "Sword Pond Waterfall," illustrates the ancient legend of Mogan Mountain. The design focuses on the moment the waterfall plunges from a verdant cliff, surrounded by dense forests and rugged rocks, evoking the tale of Gan Jiang and Mo Ye crafting their legendary swords. The silvery cascade and vibrant atmosphere reflect both nature’s splendor and the mountain’s profound historical roots.

The second stamp, "Villas Amidst Greenery," showcases Mogan Mountain’s architectural heritage. It features a variety of villas nestled among emerald bamboo groves, harmoniously integrated with the mountain’s terrain. The red roofs and brick walls interplay with slender bamboos and sturdy pines, each structure embodying the cultural and developmental history of Mogan Mountain and representing a blend of Eastern and Western architectural dialogues.

The third stamp, "Sunrise over a Sea of Clouds," depicts the breathtaking sunrise viewed from Mogan Mountain. The design captures the radiant sunrise from the Xuguang Terrace, a prime vantage point, where golden rays cloak the rolling hills in splendor. The distant mountains and boundless sea of clouds symbolize Mogan Mountain’s bright and promising future.

The stamps were produced using high-resolution photogravure printing, delivering rich colors and fine details that accurately convey the natural beauty of Mogan Mountain. The distant peaks and clouds exhibit smooth, multi-color gradients, enhancing the sense of depth and realism. Special inks were used to make the mountains, trees, and foliage shimmer in the light, adding vitality to the scenes. Under ultraviolet light, the sky glows with morning radiance, while the mountains and leaves appear vividly green, emphasizing the lushness and vitality of the landscape.

The stamp set was designed by Cheng Xiangjun, edited by Wang Nan, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Co., Ltd. using photogravure technology.
