China Post will issue a set of three commemorative stamps on September 21, 2025, to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The stamps are titled "Beautiful Xinjiang," "Unity and Harmony," and "Open Highlands." The full set has a face value of 3.60 yuan, with a planned circulation of 4.9 million sets.

The stamp designs were created using mineral pigment painting techniques, a traditional method that highlights the region’s vibrant and diverse character.

The first stamp, "Beautiful Xinjiang," depicts the scenic beauty of Xinjiang’s urban landscapes. In the foreground, blooming roses symbolize ecological conservation efforts, while the background features the majestic Muztagh Peak of the Kunlun Mountains and Karakul Lake.

The second stamp, "Unity and Harmony," portrays people from various ethnic groups and professions in Xinjiang living in unity and harmony, embodying the idea of "one family."

The third stamp, "Open Highlands," highlights the China-Europe Railway Express and the Khorgos Gateway, with the Urumqi International Airport, photovoltaic power stations, and Bogda Peak depicted in the background.

The stamps vividly illustrate how tradition and modernity, nature and culture, and history and youth coexist and thrive in Xinjiang’s vast and beautiful land. They capture the growing sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security among the people of all ethnic groups, who are closely united "like pomegranate seeds." The designs reflect Xinjiang’s efforts to build a beautiful homeland characterized by unity, harmony, prosperity, cultural advancement, social stability, and ecological sustainability in the context of Chinese modernization.

The stamps were printed using offset printing technology, which ensures rich colors, delicate details, and layered visuals that emphasize the thematic focus. The vibrant hues vividly showcase Xinjiang’s iconic landscapes and regional characteristics. Fluorescent effects in certain parts of the design enhance the thematic expression, creating visual harmony and elevating the overall aesthetic appeal of the stamps.

The stamp set was designed by Li Dan, edited by Wang Jing, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Co., Ltd. using offset printing technology.
