To support the promotion of the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests," the enforcement of the new Consumer Protection Law effective March 15, 2014, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the China Consumer Association, China Post issued a special stamp set titled "Consumer Rights Protection" on March 15, 2014, with catalog number 2014-5. The set consists of two stamps with a total face value of 2.40 yuan. This is the first special stamp set issued by China Post on the theme of consumer rights protection. The stamp designs are named "Fairness and Justice" and "Protecting Rights."

The stamp set illustrates the connotations and scope of consumer rights from two perspectives. The first stamp, "Fairness and Justice," features the emblem of the China Consumer Association and a scale of justice as the main elements, highlighting the legal basis for protecting consumer rights and aiming to build a harmonious, friendly, fair, and just consumer environment. The second stamp, "Protecting Rights," depicts a pair of hands supporting four icons representing "clothing, food, housing, and transportation," symbolizing the broad and comprehensive protection of consumer rights that benefits all aspects of people's daily lives. The overall design is clean, lively, and refreshing, with a fresh and vibrant color palette. The stamp set was designed by He Hao of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and printed using offset printing by Shenyang Post and Telecommunications Printing Factory in Liaoning Province.
