Background

The day May 1, 2005 marks the 80th anniversary of the All China Federation of Trade Unions. Under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, it has gone through 80 heroic years of struggle. In the great practice of Chinese revolution, construction and reform, All China Federation of Trade Unions has united and mobilized workers of all ethnic groups to exert all their efforts against hardships and difficulties, composing a glorious chapter in winning national independence, building a powerful and prosperous country and attaining a happy life for the people.
