The coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region follows the layout concept of "complementary functions, inter-regional linkage, axial agglomeration and nodal support", with the framework of "one core, two cities, three axes, four zones and multiple nodes". It involves the orderly relief of Beijing’s non-capital functions, and the construction of a networked spatial pattern anchored by key cities, supported by strategic functional zones, and linked by transportation arteries and ecological corridors. Promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is a major national strategy in China at present. Its purpose is to adjust the economic structure and spatial layout by relieving Beijing’s non-capital functions, promote the coordinated development of the region, foster new growth poles, explore a new path of intensive development, and establish a new model for the optimal development of densely populated and economically intensive areas. The strategy for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is of great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance for advancing the "Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy", achieving the "Two Centenary Goals" and realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region is a set of special stamps issued by China Post on March 9, 2017, to mark the 3rd anniversary of the implementation of the national strategy for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The set includes 3 stamps and 1 miniature sheet. The stamp designs respectively feature transportation interconnection, joint ecological prevention and control, and industrial docking and collaboration, with the total face value of the full set reaching 3.90 yuan.

The stamp set focuses on the "three breakthroughs" in transportation, ecology and industry, striving to reflect the priority areas launched in the strategy for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The first stamp, themed transportation interconnection, depicts a three-dimensional transportation network integrating sea, land and air connectivity among the three regions. The second stamp, highlighting joint ecological prevention and control, embodies the planning goal of expanding ecological space and presents a livable blueprint featuring blue skies, clear waters and green lands. The third stamp, centered on industrial docking and collaboration, underscores the role positioning and close ties of industrial cooperation parks among the three regions as the main carriers for industrial transfer. It also reflects the division of labor and collaboration orientation in industries: Beijing developing into a scientific and technological innovation center, Tianjin focusing on high-end manufacturing, and Hebei building a pilot zone for industrial transformation and upgrading.
