China Post is scheduled to issue a set of 3 commemorative stamps themed "The 20th Anniversary of Macao's Return to the Motherland" on December 20, 2019, with a total face value of 3.90 yuan for the full set.

In addition, a souvenir sheet of the same theme will be jointly printed with Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau, containing 3 stamps from China Post and 3 stamps from Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau respectively. The size of the souvenir sheet is 110×150 millimeters, and the price of the souvenir sheet folder is 17 yuan.

December 20, 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. Over the past two decades, the government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), uniting people from all walks of life in Macao, has fully and accurately understood and implemented the policy of "One Country, Two Systems", resolutely safeguarded the authority of the Constitution and the Basic Law, inherited the core values of patriotism and love for Macao, and promoted rapid economic growth, continuous improvement of people's livelihood, and social stability and harmony in Macao. It has demonstrated to the world the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" with Macao characteristics. With the joint efforts of the Central People's Government, the MSAR government and people from all sectors of society, as well as the strong support of people of all ethnic groups across the country, the practice of "One Country, Two Systems" in Macao will surely write a new wonderful chapter, and Macao, the beautiful lotus flower of the motherland, will surely bloom more brilliantly and charmingly.

The first stamp, "Patriotism and Love for Macao: Passed Down from Generation to Generation", centers on the resplendent golden Lotus Flower in Full Bloom sculpture. By depicting the celebration scene where people from all walks of life in Macao wave the national flag and the regional flag at Golden Lotus Square, it highlights the festive atmosphere while conveying the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao of compatriots in Macao, as well as their sense of identity and pride in being of the same mind and blood with the motherland. The second stamp, "A Blend of Chinese and Western Cultures: Harmony and Integration", takes the scene of the Drunken Dragon Dance at Senado Square as the core, with backgrounds including architectural landmarks such as Ruins of St. Paul's, A-Ma Temple, Guia Lighthouse, and Taipa Village Museum. It showcases the characteristics of Macao's diverse culture. The third stamp, "Urban Construction: Prosperity and Development", focuses on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, with the Sai Van Bridge built after the return extending inward from the right side. It closely follows the pulse of the times after Macao's return and reflects the urban construction and development of Macao since then. In the distance, the Hengqin Campus of the University of Macau and the Hengqin-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Valley are depicted, embodying the concept of Macao integrating into national development, actively participating in regional cooperation strategies, and jointly promoting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The set of stamps is designed by Han Binghua, a renowned designer from Hong Kong, and printed by Beijing Stamp Factory using the photogravure printing process.
