Background info
Mount Taishan has 112 peaks, the main one being Jade Emperor's Peak. In addition, there are many cultural elements to the site including 22 temples, 97 ruins, 819 stone tablets, and over 1000 stone inscriptions. Mount Taishan has been considered a symbol of heaven for over 3000 years and has been a destination of personal pilgrimages of the emperors for over 2000 years.
