The stamps measure 40×27 mm, with a perforation gauge of 12 degrees. Each sheet contains 28 stamps (4×7). The stamps were designed by Chen Xiaocong, with photography by Wang Zhonghu, Lu Yi, and Zhang Lu, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Works.

Stamp Designs and Historical Background

Second Automobile Works

The image shows the assembly workshop of the Second Automobile Works, with Dongfeng trucks rolling off the line. Located in Shiyan, Hubei, the Second Automobile Works is a large automobile production base in China. It ended the situation of China relying on imports for medium-duty trucks and is a pillar enterprise of the domestic automobile industry.

Yizheng Chemical Fibre Joint Company

The image presents a panoramic view of the Yizheng Chemical Fibre plant. Located in Yizheng, Jiangsu, it was the largest chemical fiber raw material production base in China at the time. It greatly improved the self-sufficiency of polyester raw materials and supported the development of the textile industry.

Shengli Oilfield

The image depicts the drilling platforms and oil extraction facilities of the oilfield. Located along the coast of the Bohai Sea in the Yellow River Delta, Shengli Oilfield is China's second-largest oilfield.
