China Post will issue a commemorative stamp on October 16, 2025, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The stamp, titled "80th Anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations," has a face value of 1.20 yuan and a planned circulation of 4.6 million sets.

The FAO was established on October 16, 1945, and China is one of its founding members. Every year, October 16 is celebrated not only as the anniversary of the FAO's founding but also as World Food Day. In 2025, World Food Day will call on the international community to build consensus, unite efforts, promote peace and prosperity, strengthen the foundation of food security, achieve sustainable development, and create a better future.

The stamp design centers on the official emblem of the FAO's 80th anniversary. A blue circular background on the left symbolizes the Earth, our shared home. The foreground features a variety of foods, the Great Wall of China as a representative element, and silhouettes of people standing hand in hand. This composition reflects the 2025 World Food Day theme: "Hand in Hand for Diverse Diets, Together for a Better Future."

The stamp was produced using high-resolution photogravure printing, which ensures rich colors, delicate details, and smooth gradients, accurately reproducing the vibrant tones of the original design. Under ultraviolet light, fluorescent effects enhance both the aesthetic appeal and anti-counterfeiting features of the stamp.

The stamp was designed by Shen Jiahong, edited by Ji Yixuan, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing Co., Ltd. using photogravure technology.
