China Post is scheduled to issue a set of 6 commemorative stamps themed "Targeted Poverty Alleviation" on November 29, 2019, with a total face value of 7.20 yuan for the full set.

Over the past 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Communist Party of China has adhered to the fundamental purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly and the people-centered development philosophy. It has led people of all ethnic groups across the country in a sustained fight against poverty and achieved remarkable accomplishments. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee has placed poverty alleviation in a more prominent position and launched a tough battle against poverty. With the entire Party and the whole nation working together with unyielding efforts, significant progress has been made. The problem of absolute poverty that has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years is about to be historically resolved, which will make a major contribution to the global cause of poverty reduction.

The stamps adopt a computer - hand - painting technique. Their images are exquisite and delicate, with fresh and natural colors, brimming with vigorous vitality and distinct local characteristics.

The first stamp, "Striding Forward to a Moderately Prosperous Society", showcases contents related to the guarantee of compulsory education and health - oriented poverty alleviation. It highlights the theme of the whole nation striding forward to a moderately prosperous society under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The second stamp, "Chixi Village, Ningde City, Fujian Province", presents a beautiful picture of sound ecological environment and wealthy villagers. The third stamp, "Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Hunan Province", displays the new look and new atmosphere of the Miao village in western Hunan. The fourth stamp, "Minning Town, Yongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region", depicts the all - round development of the beautiful Minning Town and its earth - shaking transformation from a "barren sandy land" to a "golden sandy land". The fifth stamp, "Lankao County, Henan Province", portrays the historic leap and drastic changes of Lankao with precise and vivid strokes. The sixth stamp, "Jinggangshan City, Jiangxi Province", depicts a new picture of the development and poverty alleviation of Jinggangshan, the cradle of the Chinese revolution.

This set of stamps was designed by Li Zhihong and printed by Beijing Stamp Factory using the photogravure printing process.
